Take it from someone who worked two summers at camp and had to return to his distant college campus every school year — it’s hard to be away from camp. Camp is the place where my life was changed forever. It’s where I fully understood what it meant to put my faith in action. Having the opportunity to give back to the ministry that gave so much to me means the world.
That’s why prayer matters so deeply to everything we do here. God is the one who changes lives, not us. It’s through His power and will that we do the work we do — and we want our entire camp family involved in that work, no matter where they are.
Our 28 Days of Prayer just wrapped up last month with just over 80 contacts receiving our prayer request emails. Those praying included past 2025 summer staff and alumni, long-time and recent camp supporters, and families. One prayer participant named Quiver (camp name, of course) said it best: “Love being able to be part of camp still from afar.” Another shared, “It is so nice to hear about what is going on at camp then specific ways to pray for it.”
That’s the kind of connection we’re after — keeping our camp family engaged year-round through events like this.
So whether you participated this year or not, we invite you to join us in praying for camp. Prayer shouldn’t be just a February activity, but a year-round, consistent practice. God is working here, as was evident during summer camp, in retreat groups, and through our staff. We can’t wait to see what He does in 2026.
