“Through the Camp Victory internship, I learned how to solve problems and lead in a God-honoring way. I experienced a unique side of ministry which taught me how to serve even when it is difficult, and full rely on Christ for both my strength and rest. Simultaneously, my faith was deepened, and my professional skillset was expanded. God’s love for this ministry was so evident during my time here and I am so grateful to have experienced it firsthand.”
Kaitlin, Intern 2020-2021
“Interning at Camp Victory gave me some insight into exactly how summer camps are run. I’ve always been interested in working at camp, but getting to see the ins and outs really opened my eyes to the difference between being a summer camp counselor and being on full time camp staff.”
Aiden, Intern 2021-2022
“Camp Victory completely changed my life. I learned so much here about God, life and myself that I never could have learned anywhere else. The community here is so strong and loving and I know the friends I made here are friendships that will last a lifetime.”
Grace, Intern 2021-2022
“We really want our interns to use Camp Victory as a launching pad. When you start your internship at camp, we help you create spiritual, professional, and life goals. We want to craft each internship just a little bit differently to tailor it to that intern’s goals. My hope is that when our interns leave, they have a clear direction of what the next step for them is and they really feel equipped to succeed at whatever that is.”
Emmarie Moon, Director of the Internship Program

Program Operations Intern

If you find satisfaction in completing behind-the-scenes tasks and working on a to-do list, but also enjoy meeting new people, this is the perfect place for you. This internship focuses on learning the ins and outs of working at camp in the non-summer season. Tasks this intern will help with include planning the staff reunion, helping with recruiting, hiring and onboarding summer staff, and assisting in other administrative office duties.

Retreat Hospitality Intern

Retreat ministry is the heart of Camp Victory in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. This intern will assist our Retreat Director in preparing our facilities to be a comfortable space for our guests. In this position, you can learn how to set up AV equipment, communicate with groups and help to meet their needs, prepare paperwork and documents for retreat leaders, and execute a retreat to keep groups coming back year after year.

Activities Intern

The Activities Intern gets to help with maintenance and facilitation of all activities that are used in the non-summer seasons at camp. This intern will help maintain and run the high and low ropes course, facilitate groups using the shooting sports equipment, and implement activities for programmed retreats at camp. You will learn valuable skills in group dynamics, activity facilitation, and teaching specific skills to help groups enjoy their time on our property. This intern also assists in the development of the summer curriculum for Skills Classes that we use for programming during Summer Camp.

Maintenance Intern

The Maintenance Intern makes sure that camp sparkles and shines. In addition to helping our maintenance director with lawn care, building upkeep and nature maintenance, this intern will also learn skills using tools, electrical equipment, and operation of heavy machinery at camp. They will assist with retreats and activities that take place weekly and on weekends. Come ready to get your hands dirty and work hard!
