What to Expect

A summer at Camp Victory is a summer you’ll never forget. Don’t take our word for it, check out what our past summer staff have to say about their experiences:

“Camp has helped strengthen my faith and has given me the ability to share the gospel with my friends and family in a loving way” – Pepper, Summer Staff 2021

“Camp is a place where people get to experience the love of Jesus in a unique way. Working at camp has showed me how much God loves us and I have been able to serve people because of that love.” -Groove, Summer Staff 2020, 2021

“I come back to Camp Victory every year because I see Jesus Christ working in the people there. When I work there, I can take a break from busy life and focus on growing closer to Jesus. It feels like home because I am surrounded by people who love the Lord and who love me.” – Peaches Summer Staff 2020, 2021

“I love working at Camp Victory because there is no other way that I feel more connected to God. I also made tons of real friendships that will last a lifetime.” -Hawk, Summer Staff 2019, 2020, 2021

Staff training will be Friday, June 7th – Friday June 14th and is required for all staff members. Each week, summer staff arrive at camp at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon for a staff meeting and are on camp property until about 7:00 on Friday evening.
Yes! Our summer staff are paid weekly plus room and board for working 3 or more weeks of the summer. If you would like to help out for one or two weeks, you are welcome to apply to volunteer.
All staff must be 16 years old by the first day of staff training.
YES! Your first week at camp will be staff training. We will spend lots of time giving you tools and techniques on how to interact with campers and set you up for a great summer. Staff training is a great time to learn new skills, grow in your own faith, and make lifelong friendships.
We have jobs available for every personality type. Whether you love to help lead in the front, or you prefer to serve in the back, we have a position for you. Start an application through our website to see more job titles and descriptions.
We believe that summer staff get the best experience – both as an employee and as part of the staff community – when they serve the whole summer. However, we know that sometimes things come up and you may have other obligations. You must work a minimum of 3 weeks to be paid for the summer. If you are only able to be at camp for a week or two, we are always looking for volunteers and would love to have you for whatever time you can be here. Please apply online under the “volunteer” tab.
We start each week Sunday afternoon with staff worship and devotions. Then it’s all hands on deck as we prepare for the arrival of our overnight campers after dinner. Day campers will arrive Monday morning and go home just before dinner each week day. All campers are picked up each Friday afternoon so you will get Friday evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning to yourself. Most of the staff stay around on the weekends and go into town, swim in the river, and go to church together on Sunday morning. We have fun events planned most weekends so there’s always something to do. If you’re more introverted, you can go home on the weekend or go for a walk on our 200 acres of river-front property.
Campers arrive late afternoon on Sunday and are picked up on Friday, so you have Saturdays off, as well as the first half of Sunday. Each staff member also gets two hours of break each day during the week except for Fridays. This is a great time to rest, take a nap, spend time in the Word, do some laundry, or go for a walk on property.
