Soul Care
The current mental health landscape is a very intimidating place for parents who want the best for their children. We are experiencing alarming rates of anxiety, depression, and sleep deprivation in both youth and young adults today. If you feel unequipped to handle the ebbs and flows of your child’s mental health but still want to be involved, join us at Soul Care, Camp Victory’s 2025 annual Parenting Conference, where our mission is to teach you how to set your children up for mental health resilience through intentional spiritual care. You’ll hear encouragement from certified Biblical counselors and local pastors in seminars, share in genuine vulnerability with other parents through breakout sessions, all while enjoying Camp Victory’s fun activities for your whole family.

Lunch is included and children under 3 are free. We hope to see you all there on April 12th, 2025!

Event Speakers

Steve Johnson
Reverend Steve Johnson is the Associate Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Rochester, Minnesota. He has been serving there since 2020. Prior to that, he worked in the mental health and residential treatment spheres for 13 years. He has a Master of Divinity from Bethlehem College & Seminary, completed his undergraduate at Northwestern College in St. Paul, and received a Formation Certificate from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF). Steve is married to his wife of ten years, Emma, and God has blessed them with four children.

Patrick Porras
Patrick is a born and bred Californian who happily calls Minnesota home. He came out to the frozen tundra in 2008 to complete an undergraduate degree in biblical studies and theology. He went on to obtain an MA in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and further biblical counseling certification from ACBC and ABC. He is a social worker by vocation and a member of Redemption City Church where he helps with Redemption Biblical Counseling. He is married to Tabitha for 12 years and, though they are in the throes of the “little years,” they cannot believe that they get to be the parents of three wonderful children (Lincoln – 7, Luther – 3, and Lucy – 2).
